About the Journal

Welcome to the Journal of Pakistan Administration (JPA), a distinguished platform committed to advancing knowledge, fostering intellectual growth, and catalyzing positive change in the field of public policy and administration.

Founded by the National School of Public Policy (formerly Pakistan Administrative Staff College) in 1960, the Journal of Pakistan Administration is a premier peer-reviewed research publication. Originally launched as Pakistan Administration, the journal underwent a strategic rebranding in December 2023 to better reflect its evolving academic scope. Highlighting its commitment to scholarly excellence, the journal was formally accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in December 2024.

Journal of Pakistan Administration promotes research on significant social, economic and governance issues and the ways public policies are made and implemented. Its articles deal with topics of concern to public policy scholars and practitioners nationwide and beyond.

Aims and Objectives:

  • Enhance the understanding about public policy formulation and implementation.

The Journal of Pakistan Administration (JPA) is now accepting submissions, scheduled for publication in June 2026. JPA is a peer-reviewed  Y  category journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in public administration, governance, and policy studies with a special focus on Pakistan.
